Frey’s Place in Dayton, Ohio, goes beyond the typical dog daycare services to offer socialization, enrichment, and certified dog training. Frey’s place is designed to be a fully immersive enrichment center in order to offer a well-rounded experience and we do enrichment activities like Crystal Sound Bath sessions, Fast CAT, or even DogTV before their naptime.
Outdoor Enrichment Area
There are so many ways to enrich a dog’s life besides walks, dog training classes full of dogs and people, and a busy doggie daycare. Frey’s Place designed an indoor/outdoor enrichment area for exercise, exploration, and socialization. “Houndtopia” is a fully immersive 4,000 sq. ft. outdoor enrichment area complete with herb gardens, misters, toys, splash pad, and pools. Even the birds love sitting on the roof watching the dogs play.
Nook: Indoor Enrichment
The first of its kind in the state of Ohio, the Nook at Frey’s Place is a fully immersive indoor sensory experience for dogs. The Nook stimulates a dog’s five senses with toys, puzzles, an herb and flower garden, and other delights. In addition, the Nook holds the first of its kind “Smellbrary.” The Smellbrary contains scents from all over the world. Dogs can virtually experience the world through their noses!
Behavioral Training
Many times, pet owners feel lost or frustrated because of their pet’s extreme behavioral issues. Pet parents struggle to care for highly reactive or anxious dogs or dogs with limited space to run around. Frey’s Place operates a 4,000 sq. ft. outdoor enrichment area, offering a fun, safe environment for behavioral training and socialization. Owner Maria Ochs earned 17 animal-care certifications, mostly Behavioral Modification Training certifications. She trains dogs to be well-mannered, happy, and safe.
Self-Serve Dog Wash
Keep your pet clean, healthy, and smelling great without the mess of bathing your dog at home. Frey’s Place offers the convenience of multiple indoor, self-serve dog wash stations plus a drive-up, outdoor dog wash. Frey’s Place equips the dog wash stations with everything pet owners need: micro-bubble shower heads, soap, driers, and towels. Pet parents can reserve one of the indoor, self-serve dog wash stations on platforms or reserve the room with a standard, self-serve dog wash.
Private Dog Park
Frey’s Place maintains a private, reservation-only dog park to give pets and pet parents a safe, peaceful setting to interact. The private dog park, located in Dayton, Ohio, is ideal for dog owners who need a safe place to go to enjoy being with their dogs. The 6,000 sq. ft., fully fenced private dog park is divided into two sections. One side caters to sighthounds and working dogs. The other side offers nose work opportunities. Both sides include a baby pool and play structures for added fun. Agility and nose work equipment are available for rent.
Indoor Pool
Relax and swim with your dog in an 18X9X52 ft. saltwater pool at Frey’s Place. The indoor pool is a laid-back place for dogs and their owners to swim, exercise and play. Membership-based, the indoor pool is open year-round by reservation only. All dogs are welcome, but especially those that are reactive to a leash or don’t have a yard to run around in. Older dogs can benefit from water therapy, and the heated pool is cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Accepting Puppies 9-12 Weeks & Up
Frey’s Place is always looking for new friends to join the fun. Puppies 9-12 weeks who have received at least two rounds of shots and adult dogs of all sizes and breeds are welcome. Contact us for more information or to schedule a trial day for your dog.
